3 Healthy Ways to Improve Your Eating Habits – In the Kitchen with MomStrong


This is in the kitchen with MomStrong, powered by Bowflex. So people always ask me ‘what are the fastest ways to learn how to eat better’
and just the ‘ways that we can change our bodies really quickly’ – the easiest things
you can do. And so for me: always start the day off with a glass of water. I wake
up. Before I have my coffee, before I do anything. I have a glass of water. I try
to get the kids their water so that we’re just kind of starting off fresh. The
second thing I always tell people: is when you’re in the grocery store (it’s kind
of an old trick I’ve heard for a long time) is kind of stay on the outsides of the
grocery store. So if you do a circle around the grocery store, you’re hitting
the vegetables and the dairy and things that are going to be typically better for
you. As soon as you start going into the middle aisles, all you see are cookies and
crackers and things that are just filled with preservatives. The other thing I would say: is pick a time of the day that you’re gonna stop eating. I like to say, for me, right after dinner. I’m done. I’m not going to go back to the
kitchen and snack. One way I know that I can keep away from that is I say to the
kids ‘kitchen’s closed.’ My mom used to say that to me all the time. And if we wanted
anything, we still thought we were hungry, we would just also go back to having another glass of water or go to bed. Your body needs rest and your body needs water. So if you think that you’re hungry after you had dinner, you’re probably
