I wish you a happy 2020. I love all my subscribers. Thank you so much. For today’s vlog, I’m going to try plant-based diet. No one tells you what this ‘plant-based diet’ is in detail so I had to do lots of research. And they always say ‘It’s not that you can’t season your food with salt blah blah’ I referred to a blog that summarized everything so well. I will leave it in the description box. Please check it out. Anyway, I’m going to do a plant-based diet but I don’t want to be 100% strict while getting so stressed. That’s going to make this diet too hard. I think I will definitely lose weight by eating plant-based food. I can only eat very healthy. I can’t eat oil, I can’t eat dairies. Of course I can’t eat eggs and meat. I can only eat grains, fruits and vegetables. I’m going to cook some amazing food with those for 3 days. Today’s Tuesday, 7thof Jan. I’m going to go and do some grocery shopping for the next 3 days. I’m going to soak brown rice in water before I head out.
I’m not a fan of brown rice. I’m going to mix it with sticky rice. Add the leftover of rice measured by a paper cup. I think I’m going to cook brown and sticky rice in 1:1 Will it make 2 bowls?…. Let’s add some more. I brought my shopping bag. All the heavy stuff will be ordered for delivery. Let’s take this bag. I’ve wrote down everything I need to buy on a note.
It’s quite expensive. 2,000won for one zucchini. I need to get one pack of perilla leaves and a cabbage. Cabbage is so expensive.
This is 3,500won and this is 4,500won. Let’s get the cheaper one. I’m really in to persimmon at the moment.
Which one is nice? ~ This avocado is 7,000won.
This is way too expensive.
I won’t have that. OMG that’s so expensive. This cabbage is on sale. It’s 1750 won. Let’s take out the one that I picked earlier. You can’t leave pickled radish out for your kimbap.
Though it’s not a plant based food, I won’t stick to it 100%. I’m gonna get it for my happiness. 2,400won for 10 Kimbab seaweed
This is really expensive too. It’s so expensive. I’m not gonna buy avocado. I don’t think I need parchment paper either, I’m gonna take this out. Let’s put what I can take home now in to the shopping bag. Let’s go home. After turning the camera off, I found perilla leaves and Asian cabbage.
Though they are not as fresh, I’m gonna finish them today and tomorrow anyway
So I bought the discounted ones. It’s not fresh but it should be alright. They all taste the same when you eat them
I’m so hungry right now. I’m gonna have the persimmon first. It’s 3pm right now. Time flies. I think I’m gonna have dinner around 5pm after this. Today’s menu is Dubu Deopbap with soy sauce.
I will show you how I make it later.
I haven’t made it yet but I think it’s going to be really nice. I like a soft persimmon rather than a hard persimmon.
I like it when it feels hard when you touch it but is actually soft when you bite in to it. Sadly, this one is too hard. I’ve finished that persimmon. Let’s cook some rice, wash the ingredients and get ready to eat. I’m so hungry. I guess grain rice takes 50 minutes. I didn’t know that. It’s gonna cook soft. Make it well Cuckoo. The veggies are a lot worse than I thought.
I feel like I’m screwed by trying to save 2,000won. Luckily, the cabbage doesn’t look that bad.
Ah, it’s so funny. I took out what I’m gonna have later.
That is for Kimbap. I’ve washed all the leafy greens here for later.
I’m having Dubu Deopbap today. I’m only using 1/4 of dubu (tofu)
I’m gonna fry these ingredients together. How should I cut the zucchini?
How do I do it?
Lets it cut it round first and cut it again in 1/4 I’ve never made this before but I’ve been cooking so it should be fine.
I’m still worried though. I’m gonna be so mad if it doesn’t taste nice. I found this broccoli in the fridge. I’m gonna add this too.
Let’s chop up a little bit. Also, I can’t forget my love, chili. I’m gonna put half of the chili in and have the half now. They are tasty when it’s uncooked.I’m gonna chop it very fine and add it to onions when I fry them That’s it for the ingredients preparation
I still got 20 minutes till the rice is done.
I’ll start cooking when it’s down to 10 minutes. I’m going to have Deonjang too.
Apparently you can still have Doenjang for plant-based diet.
But you gotta pick something that has minimal additives.
This is made of 96% of beans. It should be fine. Let’s have this. I got 10 minutes now. Let’s cook dubu without adding oil.
Let’s cook it in a well-coated frying pan.
I have never coked dubu without oil. I don’t know how it’s going to turn out. It looks a bit burnt but you guys are imagining it.
They taste nice when they are golden
It’s all finished. Let’s move this to a plate. The rice is done. Can you hear that sound?
I gotta fry the onions and zucchini that I chopped earlier. I gotta fry them all but don’t you think that’s too much vegetables?
I don’t know if it’s too much or little.. .
I think that’s too much. I’m gonna have half of it. Add some water and cook it till it becomes golden like dubu.
Let’s cook it. Gently stir fry it and add water when it becomes golden.
Pour water till the veggies sink in. Add one spoon of soy sauce like this and let it simmer. I’ve never made this before so I don’t know how it’s going to taste
But I think it’s gonna be really nice. I added the dubu that I cooked earlier. It’s gonna be good. It smells so nice.
There’s almost no water now. I think it’s all simmered.
Let’s turn the heat off. I don’t know how the rice is cooked…
I rarely cook rice. Wow~ it cooked well.
I won’t have too much. Just one paddleful of it. I’ve pulled out dubu cause I wanted to decorate it nicely.
Add veggies first, then put dubu on top of that. Why doesn’t it look nice when I do it?
That’s weird. This is not what it supposed to look like. And add a baby leaf vegetable here as a decoration….
It still doesn’t look nice.
But it looks fine.

Have I added too much soy sauce..?
Well, the smell is good. Hmm~ It’s good.
Lee Solmee~ You are a good cook. I thought the soy cause might make it too salty
But it’s not too salty or too bland when paired with rice.
It’s the right about of saltiness. It’s great. Dubu is soft too. I failed to have correct amount of water in rice.
I don’t cook rice often. I rarely cooked rice before.
It’s little bit too moist but it’s till alright. Actually, adding too much water gotten rid of hard texture of brown rice.
And mixing with sticky rice made it soft too. It’s more enjoyable. Wow, it’s so good. Please try this. Everyone can enjoy this as long as they don’t hate dubu. I’m not a huge fan of dubu but I try it eat more of it when I’m on a diet.
and because of that, I don’t hate it anymore. Hehe
I enjoy eating dubu now You know you gotta add heaps of sesame oil when having leafy greens, right?
But I can’t do that today.
It’s spicy. It’s spicy. I gotta eat some leafy greens too.
I will not buy discounted veggies ever again. One lettuce and one perilla leaf. I only need little bit of Deonjang as the rice is all seasoned. It looks nice, right? The lighting of the kitchen of this new place is awkward.

I’m going to enjoy the rest of the meal while watching it. I’ve finished my rice but I have more than half of the veggies left.

I need to go for exercise at 8pm. I’m gonna put these away and do some work. I moved nonstop. I worked and cleaned my room. It’s going to be a super productive day. I’ve order something. I’m starting pilates today so I bought a new pair of leggings for that. It’s from Andar. It’s Techfit 7/8 in black in size 6. I saw their sizes and 4 was going to be too tight on me. I thought I’d get something bigger so that it doesn’t feel uncomfortable. So I got the size 6. I’m so lucky that it arrived today. You are supposed to wash it before wearing it but that’s fine. It won’t kill me~
It’s going to be nice and tight. Let’s try it. I tried it on~
It doesn’t accentuate the Yzone. I’m glad that I bought size 6.
It was really hard to put on. I couldn’t believe it was designed for size 66-77.
It’s super tight and shaping. It’s gonna be great for working out. Also, this band here comes up very high.
But some of the reviews said it slides down or bends while working out.
I haven’t tried that yet. I will wear this for pilates today and let you know my thoughts later. The top is from a no-brand sport wear that I bought from Emart.
It was 10,000won and I’ve been wearing it a lot.
I will put on a long puffer coat on top. Then I’ll be ready to head out.
I’m completely protected. Let’s go out to exercise. I feel like I’m dying… 59.1kg~ I’m having strawberries, sweet potato and persimmon for breakfast. It’s so sweet. I usually don’t like strawberries as they are often not that sweet but these are so sweet and delicious.
I was so hungry late last night but it’s worth waiting. I’m gonna make Kimbap today. I bought picked radish for it.
I’m gonna add that to Kimbap. Ah right, I’ve changed my nails. Aren’t they pretty?

I got that done at a shop but I did these on my own. I think I will need a chopping board for persimmon. I brought strawberries and persimmon. I’ve cut up persimmon .
I might eat more persimmon than strawberries
I think I’ve cut too much persimmon. The persimmon is so sweet that it makes the strawberries taste bad. I won’t eat this. Instead, I’m gonna cut another persimmon.
Do you guys like persimmon too?
They taste so nice at the moment.
I never knew how nice they were before. That’s too much.
I’m just gonna have half of the sweet potato and finish the persimmon. I thought I’d try this diet and if it’s diet, I thought I’d eat plant-based diet for 3-4 days a week.
But I really want Malatang right now. I’ve been thinking about having Malatang for an hour now. I seriously think this plant-based diet is not for me.
Maybe I can just have Malatang today and get back on to this diet tomorrow. It’s 3pm right now. I’ve been thinking about getting Malatang for a long time.
I seriously think plant-based diet is not for me. I think I will just do it 1-2 days a week. I’m gonna go and have Malatang now. I will have Malatang today, work out tonight and go back to the clean diet from tomorrow like I did yesterday.
I have pilates tomorrow as well so that should be fine.
Too much stress isn’t good. I came out to have Malatang. I was walking towards the bus stop
Then I suddenly thought… “Do I really have to eat this?”
I shouldn’t eat it. If I can’t even wait for 3 days, am I even a human?
Well, I’ll still be a human but yeah, I’m gonna control myself and go back home. I’m back home. Someone came to set up the lightings now. They are working in my room so I moved to my dad’s room. I’m going to relax and calm down on a massage chair lol
I’m gonna have dinner after this. I’m ready to eat now. I’m going to mix soy sauce and water, then stir fry and simmer these like I did yesterday. These will be eaten raw.
Let’s take out some saltiness from the pickled radish by putting it in water.
Let’s stir fry this first. All the ingredients are ready.
I’ve never rolled a Kimbap before. Let’s roll it. That should be enough for rice.

And here’s the main ingredient, picked radish. It looks pretty good. I think it’s gonna be alright. It’s not bad. Ok~ the second Kimbap is done My mum sliced it for me. I tried the end Since it’s already marinated in soy sauce, I won’t need a separate dipping sauce. It looks like real Kimbap, right?
It tastes, nice, right? She gave me another half roll
I’m going to have it with leafy greens. It’s gonna be past 8 pm. I’ve finished my meal at 5:30ish.
I’m gonna work out now. I worked my arms so much at pilates yesterday.
It hurts so much here.
I worked my arm so hard on Sunday as well.
My arm hurts so much. So today, I should focus on legs or do a light whole-body cardio.
I don’t know how I’m going to exercise yet. I typed ‘gym leg workout routine’ and saw a few.
I think Fitbly’s video would be the best for me.
My gym is very small so there are only a few machines. In the video, they showed Smith machine squat, leg press, leg extension and leg curl.
There are 4 work outs but I’m not used to using a machine to do squat.
So I’m gonna skip that. My gym has those rest 3 machines so I’m gonna try them. Let’s quickly get changed and head out
Let’s work out hard Solmee! I told you how the Andar leggings wore during the workout.
It was fine when I was standing up and exercise.
But when I sit, the top 1cm of the band was about to bend. But it didn’t bother me to the point where I couldn’t work out. I highly recommend it.

My lips always get dry while working out. So I’m packing Isoi Sensitive Skin Moisture Lip Balm

This is the first lip balm that I finished in the last few years.
I’m gonna sweep it on my lips and head to the gym.
Ok, I will work hard. 58.9kg. I’ve lost 0.2kg than yesterday. I somehow made it to the 3rd day already.
I got so hungry last night.
I seriously considered having Malatang when I get up
But my original goal was 3 days.
I’m going to continue with plant-based diet till today
I’m having Malatang tomorrow for sure. I’m gonna have these two persimmons for breakfast.
For today’s lunch, I’m gonna make Japchae without using oil.
I gotta soak potato noodles in water. It’s just past 10 am right now.
Let’s eat these to persimmons for now. Persimmon still tastes nice even though I’m having it 3 days in a row. I soaked it in water for 2 hours.
That should be enough. Let’s cook the noodles first. I’ve chopped onion, zucchini and carrots. I want to add mushrooms too but I don’t have any. My sister’s gonna buy some for me. She’s gonna come back from the mart soon. I will chop mushrooms and add that in. Once Japchae is cooked, I’m gonna have it with perilla leaves and lettuce. It’s really nice on its own but I think it will be amazing with those veggies.
I don’t have rice today. I’m just gonna have Japchae on its own. The mushrooms are all chopped. Cook carrot in boiling water first.
Once it’s cooked, add these three all in one and add potato noodle in to water at last.
Now, put soy sauce and stir fry it to finish off. It looks done now. How’s the taste? Hmm it’s nice. It’s finished.
I didn’t put bean sprout or sesame oil
I only used soy sauce, salt and chili powder.
Japchae looks the same as I showed earlier.
Bon appetite~ Hmm It’s really nice~ ~ I enjoyed my lunch so much. I’m back in my room now.
While having lunch, my mom told me that my face looks a lot slimmer
She said my face line is V shaped as if it’s been photoshopped. That oil free Japchae is really, really good.
Make sure you tried it too. It’s great. My hair looks really oily and unwashed but it’s not. I just used this oil I have it on my hair. It’s ‘L’oreal Paris Extra Ordinary Oil Extra Rich’
I bought this oil in my last vlog.
I’ve been enjoying it. It’s really good. I’m gonna bleach my roots later. My scalp looked too dry and lacking oil
It hurts to bleach roots on dry scalp. You will know what I mean if you tried it. So I applied oil on my roots generously.
That’s why my scalp is shining. I booked at two. I’m gonna have some rest and go bleach my roots. I’m back from the hair dresser. It looks great. It’s 4pm right now. I’m gonna have a banana for snack. Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of banana but there’s nothing to eat at home
And I can’t be bothered to cook something. I haven’t decided what to eat for dinner.
I have pilates class at 9pm I need to digest the food completely before going to pilates.
I gotta eat fast… I don’t know what to eat. I need to work after finishing this
I will turn on the camera again when I have dinner. It’s 6:30 right now. I’m going to have a very simple dinner.
I really hate eating raw veggies as it is.
Apparently this mustard has the least additives in it.
I’m gonna put some on here Ah, I need to drench it with salad dressing Yuk. It’s so bad. I won’t eat it. I had to get some rice in the end.
We cooked white rice for my dad
I only brought a little bit. Only 2 spoons.
You can tell how small it is if you look at the bowl, right? I enjoyed my dinner. I was gonna have the salad by itself but I don’t like salad.
I can have normal veggies but I suddenly realized that I don’t like eating them raw.
I thought I’d just have salad for dinner as I had it at home
But it was so bad. I took another bite, thinking I should eat it.
But it was so bad. So I had rice instead.
Sadly, I had white rice but white rice is the best kid of rice.
It tastes so good even just by itself. I have pilates class at 9:10 pm today. I’m gonna digest the food and go to pilates. 58.6 kg~ So that was my 3 days of plant-based diet.
After 3 days, my weight became 58.6kg this morning. I’ve lost little bit over 1kg after the 3 days of IU diet as well.
But compared to that, my overall body line looks much slimmer. It’s so sad that I couldn’t film before & after comparison properly
But I highly, highly recommend plant-based diet. But the limitation on food is a lot stricter than you think. If I try it for a whole week or for a whole month, I’m sure I will give up cause it’s too hard. Just try it for one day or just try it for 3 days like I did. I’m going to eat like this for one day a week, or maximum 3 days a week
Then I’ll eat whatever I want to eat including oil and meat for the rest of the week.
That’s how I’m going to continue my diet. If you haven’t tried it before, I definitely recommend you to try it for at least one time. That’s it for today’s diet vlog.
