Milk Bath Acrylic Nails with REAL FLOWERS

Milk Bath Acrylic Nails with REAL FLOWERS

Kirsty: Hi everybody, I’m Kirsty Meakin from Naio Nails. In this video, I’m going to do Milk Bath nails. Somebody has asked me to do this. So, I did a little bit of research and I was like, well, what’s a Milk Bath?. Well, it’s a bath that you go in, it’s got milked in it and all the nice things and it’s also got flowers. It’s got like petals and flowers in it. Adam: Is this like * and stuff?
Kirsty: I think it’s like a…yeah, Forever Young bath. Adam: It’s like a rejuvenation.
Cheryl: *. They use to bathe in * milk. Kirsty: They do do it in pedicures a lot. I’ve seen it a lot at the minute, where the water is very milky and they’ve got all petals in there. So, we’re gonna do nails inspired by that. Kirsty: And we’ve got the Lovely Cheryl in today. I’ve already prepped Cheryl’s nails. She has got a bit of a sore there. Kirsty: That was already there.
Adam: Do you have to point that out *? Kirsty: But it’s already there though.
Adam: * she pointed it out immediately. Cheryl: I know.
Kirsty: I’m sorry. Cheryl. She’s just dug it out, by the way, peeps. Just dug it out.
Kirsty: Just dug it out bit for you. Kirsty: I am gonna fit sculpting form, so we’re gonna sculpt today. I need to tailor this sculpting form a little, just so it matches Cheryl’s finger end. So, she’s got quite a stretched eponychium. She’s got lovely nail beds. I love doing Cheryl’s nails. Nice and tight. You are alright now? I won’t fit the form to the thumb until I’ve got the product on these because I know that the thumb will touch the desk and I don’t want the thumb to be messing around with my sculpting form and I don’t want it to knock it off or it’s come loose. Adam: Are we gonna just like, ignore the fact that you’re wearing t-shirt with your face on it, by the way?
Kirsty: Oh, yeah. Sorry! Kirsty: I forgot what they’re called, the company, Luella, yeah. L U E L L A. Adam: *.
Kirsty: * let’s go on it. Adam: Luella.
Kirsty: Yeah, Luella. Luella Boutique, they made my… Kirsty: Oh, look at this. This is me! They made me two t-shirts and a hoodie. I’ve not worn the other t-shirt just yet. Saving that for when I’ve got a spray tan because it’s neon yellow. Yeah, so they kindly made me some t-shirts and they make pretty cool stuff. So, they make personalized stuff. So, that these two little girls have got their personalized pictures on there. Kirsty: So yeah, it’s pretty cool. Wow!
Adam: Maybe I should get some. Kirsty: I think Adam should have some, yeah.
Adam: Yeah, do them as merch. Kirsty: Mm-hmm.
Adam: Will just be like a blank space where you can’t see anything. Kirsty: Adam, the secret cameraman. Yeah, so they made me some cool t-shirts. Don’t that look pretty cool? Right! So, we’re gonna use the dehydrator now, which is in new packaging. I like a bit of new packaging. And then we’re gonna use the Ultra Bond Acid Primer. You don’t want to get this on the skin. Just let it dispersed over the natural nail. If you were doing an infill, then you would just touch the natural nail, you don’t need to pull it over the product that’s on the nail. Right! What I’m gonna do is, I’m gonna lay down a base and we’re gonna use Natural to lay down the base. I’m using Natural because it’s a milky colour already and that’s the look we’re going for. So, I’m just doing a thin base, so I’ve got something to work on. We’re gonna go to a number four. We’re doing a ballerina shaped nail. You’ll know if you’re doing this thin enough because it will look very transparent. If you’re doing it too thick, then it’ll be really milky and that’s not what you want. Then I’m gonna put a thin layer of Natural Beige. And all this is to act like is, sort of like a little foundation colour, just to give that natural nail a little bit of colour, and we’re gonna do it very thin. Keeping everything nice and thin because we are encapsulating. So, things are going to go inside the nail, so everything needs to be nice and thin. That’s just gonna give a nice colour to the nail. Now, I can do the thumb because we’ve got a little bit more product on. Alright! Let’s go in with the Natural, same as we did before. Right! So next, the exciting part. Cheryl is like, “I haven’t got a clue what you’re doing.” Cheryl: I haven’t. I’m a bit… Kirsty: Bit like what…
Cheryl: What I can see on the table is a bit worrying. Kirsty: A bit worrying? So, we have lots of flowers that we picked. Lots of different flowers, I mean. Got these Bluebells. Absolutely gorgeous. Love Bluebells. Bluebells, I’ve only picked a few because I know we don’t want to be picking loads, we want it to grow wild. We’ve got these, look at these are so tiny and gorgeous. They’re perfect to go into nails. And look at the tiny leaves. So, we will sort of dissect these. Look at them. They’re so cute. These were made for nails. Somebody comment with what these are, you know, what flowers they’re because I haven’t got a clue. Look at that. Adam: Stop whispering.
Kirsty: Sorry, they’re just so cute. Adam: Doesn’t mean you have to talk quite because they’re cute.
Kirsty: I know. Sorry! Little flowers, you’re going for a good cause. This is a good cause.
Adam: Immortalized in plastic forever. Kirsty: And look at them. Damn!
Cheryl: They were made for nails, weren’t they? Kirsty: Weren’t they just? Kirsty: I quite like the little bud as well *. *.
Cheryl: They’re not gonna be growing in my nails, *? Kirsty: No! They’ll have no…Look at them.
Cheryl: * Kirsty: Oh, my God. Look at that! Adam: So, now that you’ve done like, the Natural on the base layer, does that mean you use Clear on the top Adam: …or you’d the Natural *?
Kirsty: No, we’re still gonna use some Luna Blush. Adam: Won’t that like, stop you from being able to see the flowers.
Kirsty: Well, this is how it should be. Adam: Alright!
Kirsty: Some of them you’ll be able to see as the clearer it gets, but some of them will be in the milk. Adam: * that.
Kirsty: Did I? Adam: Yeah.
Kirsty: Sorry. Kirsty: Now, these are too big but what I’m gonna do is, I’m gonna sort of like tear them up a little bit. Oh my God! Look at that inside. Cheryl: What are they, buttercup? No. Kirsty: I don’t know. They do look a bit buttercup. We don’t know like… I remember the old, “if you like butter, put it under your chair, if it glows yellow, you like butter.” So, what I’ll do, what you ever see is a little rubbish, it’s just a reflection of the colour. But I’m just gonna tear some of these up and see if we can maybe cut some actually and get some cool shapes. Kirsty: And this, I don’t know what this is.
Cheryl: It’s heather. Kirsty: Is it heather? Ugh! See, I’m really rubbish with flowers. So, we’re just gonna get these long ones off, these little ones here. Oh my God! That smells amazing. Adam: It smells like heather.
Cheryl: Smell. Cheryl: Mm-hmm! It does. Not bad.
Kirsty: It’s really nice, that is. There’s some tiny buds opened there. Right! We’ll work with what we’ve got for now and see if we need to cut anything else. Kirsty: What about this one though? This one’s got some nice bits here.
Cheryl: Lavender. Kirsty: It’s lavender.
Adam: Hmm! Yeah, this. Cheryl: Yeah. Adam: *. Not be *
Kirsty: * lavender do the same thing. Cheryl: *.
Kirsty: It’s lavender, ain’t it? Or is it the heather? Cheryl: *
Kirsty: *. Is it? Kirsty: Right! We’re gonna use Natural, Luna Blush and Clear. A little bit of Clear, nice and thin. That’s gonna be like our glue to put these little flowers on. Cheryl: Them yellow are going orange.
Kirsty: Mm-hmm! They will slightly change when they touch the Monomer. Kirsty: Just gonna put a little bit of acrylic under that underside. And then, I’m gonna take the backing paper from the form and just flatten it a little bit. So, it’s held that down a little bit flatter. Now, we’re gonna use Luna Blush. So, take it right on the end at first and bring it up. You want to slightly go over those flowers and leaves, so they look like they’re in that milk bath. Gonna work round them a little bit just so you can see them popping out of that milk bath. Then you’re gonna cap with Clear. So, we’re gonna do this on the other nails as well. I will slightly change the positioning of the flowers. I’m going to put Luna Blush here and press some directly into the Luna Blush as well, so, we’ve got them coming right at the end. Alright! Let’s pinch the thumb. While that’s pinching, I’m gonna take the form off. Alright! So, I’m gonna file the nails now. So, side walls first of all. Get those nice and straight. Because they’re long, I am supporting the nail. Kirsty: Oh, look! I’ve got a bit of flower.
Cheryl: Oh, is that you, thought it was me. Kirsty: * a bit of flower under my nail. Wasn’t destined for the milk bath. Kirsty: I’ve never had a Turkish bath, I haven’t.
Cheryl: Haven’t you? Kirsty: No. Cheryl: Have you ever * get * big * slight thingy?
Kirsty: Yeah, they rub it all. They’re like * up, don’t they? Adam: They’ll rub all of the dead out of you.
Cheryl: Yeah. Cheryl: It’s not…yeah, *.
Adam: It’s not pleasurable. Cheryl: It’s not pleasurable, yeah.
Kirsty: How is it not? Cheryl: No.
Adam: No. Kirsty: And I thought it was like, nice.
Adam: No! They’ll rub their hands so hard across your skin to pull the dead out. Cheryl: With the grain. Cheryl A bit like…
Kirsty: So, it not like the milk bath then? Cheryl: No.
Kirsty: It’s not relaxing like milk bath. Kirsty: I’ll stick to the milk bath forever. I’m just going around the cuticle with a softer file. So, I’m gonna file all the nails, get them shaped up. I can’t wait to topcoat them, to be honest, so you can see the milky parts and the more transparent parts. Kirsty: I’m gonna wipe over with Acetone because I want to slightly melt the top layer, so it’s even more clear.
Cheryl: Oh, there we go, Kirsty: Try to avoid it. Just forget about that one. Cheryl: That’s not gonna *
Kirsty: I pressed it so it didn’t go in anymore. Cheryl: Then you pressed it to press it in. Kirsty: Oh, I’m in love with them, I am. Kirsty: Right! So, let’s put some bling on. So, we’re gonna do some little clusters, so I’m gonna do some here. I’m gonna do some coming through here and some through here and maybe some here and… so, you can’t do here on this side. Kirsty: Alright! So, here.
Cheryl: Mm-hmm. Kirsty: Here.
Cheryl: Mm-hmm! Kirsty: Here.
Cheryl: Mm-hmm! Kirsty: Can I put some here? Cheryl: A bit.
Kirsty: Little bit. Here? Cheryl: Yeah, there.
Kirsty: Yeah? Cheryl: Yeah! That’s nice and okay.
Kirsty: Yeah. Kirsty: So, I’ll do your thumb first, so we can get that curing. A bit Gel Residue Wipe-off Solution on the brush. It’s nice. The *. Right! So, we’re not gonna cure that yet, what we’re gonna do is put the top coat over the top. This is like my perfect little recipe for keeping crystals on the nail. Pop that in the lamp for me. So, we’re gonna do that on all the nails. I want all the nails to have a little bit of bling. Right! So, we’re gonna finish off with a little bit of Cuticle Oil. Kirsty: I absolutely love these.
Cheryl: They are pretty. Kirsty: I would love a full set of these. I would feel at one with nature. Kirsty: * start going through the meadow naked with my *
Adam: Oh, I was just gonna say, take your clothes on. Kirsty: Yeah.
Adam: Bloody hell! 40 year old *. Adam: Having said that, I’m 38. I’m not even 38 yet. Kirsty: Right! I’ll just take that bit of excess oil off them, so everybody can see them in all their glory. I’ve got a favorite nail. Cheryl: Middle one. Kirsty: Yeah! It’s this here. Kirsty: I just…this! Look at…
Cheryl: Oh, look *. Kirsty: Look at them tiny little buds. I absolutely love them. Honest, I absolutely love them. They’re just so cute. And I love are we how the flowers really look like they’re swirling in that milk bath. Which is your favorite? Kirsty: * glasses. Glasses coming on.
Cheryl: Glass is going on. Adam: The one with least green in.
Kirsty: She’s a inspecting them now. Cheryl: I think it’s gonna have to be the thumb.
Kirsty: Yeah. Kirsty: Because it’s got more of them blue ones and you like.
Cheryl: No, you’ve overlapped them. Kirsty: Yeah.
Cheryl: And because they’ve overlapped, it looks like yeah. Cheryl: You know when they overlap and all that?
Kirsty: Yeah! They’re just floating. Kirsty: So, these are nice, aren’t they as well?
Cheryl: Yeah, the one with the tail. Kirsty: That one with the little tail there…
Cheryl: *. Kirsty: That is so nice. Cheryl: * look.
Kirsty: And it looks…it’s got depth to it as well, hasn’t it? Cheryl: Yeah. Kirsty: Hmm. * contender for being the favorite as well. Cheryl: *
Kirsty: I love them. Kirsty: I love them. Absolutely love them. Who’s gonna do me a set? I could have somebody do me a set of them while I’m in a milk bath. Adam: Oh, God! She’s obsessed with them. I can’t * going on
Cheryl: * to costume on, with the *. Kirsty: Well, I’ll have a costume on, I don’t mind.
Cheryl: Yeah. Kirsty: You know what I mean?
Cheryl: Well, I’ve seen the need. Adam: Just don’t pump a nose in that video because… Cheryl: Yeah, *.
Adam: Just don’t * that video video because * bubbles. Kirsty: Ooh! Extra bubbles. There you are, guys. Everything I’ve used today will be listed below, apart from the flowers. Kirsty: Well, we’ll actually list the dried flowers below, can’t we?
Adam:. Yes, we can but I… Kirsty: Or you can go and forage* your own. But everything else will be listed. We will put those dried flowers because we have got some as well, we have. Adam: We just couldn’t find them.
Kirsty: I just couldn’t find them but I know they’re on the website somewhere. Kirsty: But yeah, I love them. Don’t forget, check us out on our next video. Give us a thumbs up. Don’t forget to subscribe. See you later. Bye-bye! Kirsty: Keep your finger still. So, put it in a *. Cheryl: * anyway.

Because tbh ive used some cheap products in the past and idk if that has someone to do with my allergic reactions

  5. Kristy, do your clients do full sets or do they have different designs on each hand? I’ve noticed that you typically have non matching hands and it’s the first time I’ve noticed anyone do that. I absolutely adore it and am inspired with my nails because I’m so indecisive! I love love love these gorgeous milk bath nails! They are stunning!

P.s i would suggest anyone following this design should treat the flowers if they aren't going to use dried. because they do have natural bacteria that WILL STILL DECAY the flowers even whilst embedded.

  9. just out of curiosity..i know you have to speed things up, but how long did it ACTUALLY take? And for both hands?💜💋💅
