  10. I received my pre-order early and I’m roughly 3/4 done the book already.

    I’ve never struggled with my weight and I’ve consumed a mostly plant-based or entirely plant-based diet since I was in my early teens.

    With that said, I still recommend this book, even if you’re in the same boat as myself. Obviously this book is geared towards dieting, but there are still many interesting tidbits anyone can add to their lifestyle. For example, the Amping AMPK section is very interesting, especially if you’re aware of the potential longevity benefits of activating AMPK. I’m sure Dr. Greger will speak quite a bit about AMPK in his How Not To Age book coming out in the next few years!

  11. I had lots of turkey last week. Home made, all from plants. Tasted just as good – if not even better – to murdered turkey. Super juicy and no fear of cross-contamination because of the possibility that the stuffing inside did not cook all the way. No nasty oil and brine clean-up anymore, compared to when I used to deep-fry murdered turkey. No more feeling of guilt and thought of death of the turkey and how it died. No more feeling lethargic and tired after having eaten a lot. Instead happiness and full of energy to enjoy the rest of the evening productively. Can’t wait for the coming holidays to experience this again (and in the meantime of course also eating varied, yummy, plants-only)!

  19. I'm a fan of Dr. Greger. With that said, as I've tried to help those in my family onto the wfpb plan. I couldn't help but observe how those who tried the diet never ended up staying with the plan. When i recommended a 80/20 approach 80 wfpb and 20 natural foods not on the wfpb list they were able to adhere to that. We have to be sensible and not virtuous about food.
